Where Could This Planet Come From?


To understand this, we must go back to the birth of our Solar System about four and a half billion years ago. It formed from a cloud of gas and dust, where particles collided and clumped together to become planets. But all that building material has long been cleared out by solar winds. That means any new planet would have to come from outside our system.
